Storm Recovery/Cleanup Update

Storm Cleanup Update 2026

🚨 STORM RECOVERY UPDATE FOR BOLINGBROOK RESIDENTS 🚨

The Village of Bolingbrook understands that many residents experienced storm-related damage from the severe weather events on June 10 and June 11. Public Works crews have been working continuously to respond to emergencies, clear roadways, address flooding, and restore safe conditions throughout the community.

As part of the Village's storm recovery efforts, Public Works will assist residents with the collection of storm-related tree limbs, branches, and natural vegetative debris.

📞 Residents requesting collection are asked to contact Public Works to schedule a pickup:

• Phone: (630) 226-8800
• Email: publicworks@bolingbrook.gov

Scheduling pickups allows staff to identify affected locations, coordinate collection routes, and provide the most efficient service possible.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: ALL DEBRIS MUST BE MOVED TO THE CURB

Residents are responsible for moving all storm debris from private property to the curb line for collection. Public Works crews will not enter private property, residential yards, easements, or landscaped areas to remove debris.

Any debris remaining on private property will not be collected. To be eligible for pickup, debris must be placed at the curb and prepared in accordance with the guidelines below.

 ACCEPTED DEBRIS:
• Tree limbs, branches, and natural vegetative debris resulting from the June 10 and June 11 storm events
• Debris cut into manageable lengths
• Bundled and securely tied whenever possible
• Debris placed at the curb for collection

ITEMS THAT WILL NOT BE COLLECTED:
• Whole trees located on private property
• Fallen trees located within residential yards or on private property
• Stumps, root balls, or large sections of tree trunks
• Fences, sheds, landscaping structures, playground equipment, or other private property damage
• Contractor debris, construction materials, household refuse, or non-storm-related yard waste
• Any debris requiring Public Works crews to enter private property for removal

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as cleanup efforts continue. By working together and following these guidelines, we can ensure Village resources remain focused on assisting residents impacted by the storms and restoring our community as quickly as possible.
