Bolingbrook Community Television
About
Established in the early 1980s, Bolingbrook Community Television got its start as an all-volunteer station Non-Profit Organization, called BCT6, that provided programming via Media One’s local cable access channel. As times changed and Media One changed hands to become Comcast, BCT’s volunteers continued to work with the cable operator to broadcast Village Board meetings, youth sports competitions, and more.
Today
In 2015, BCT6 became a Village Commission, utilizing residents and, along with Village staff, provides programming that informs, entertains and preserves the spirit character and diversity of Bolingbrook through the scheduled Village Board meetings, School Board meetings, Plan Commission meetings, free concerts, sports programs, informational documentaries and specials that highlight what makes the Village unique.
