Cultural Display
The iFest Bolingbrook Committee welcomes cultural exhibitors who wish to share traditions, heritage, and educational experiences with festival attendees. Cultural Displays play an important role in celebrating diversity and promoting understanding within the community.
Fees
- $75 Festival Fee – Applies to Cultural Display participants who are selling merchandise.
- No Fee – If you are displaying cultural materials or distributing free items only (no sales).
All applicable fees must be submitted by the stated payment deadline to secure participation.
Booth Setup & Equipment
Each Cultural Display participant will receive:
- One (1) table
- Two (2) chairs
Electricity
- Basic electricity may be requested on the application.
- Fee: $25
Tents
- Participants may bring their own 10’ x 10’ tent, or
- Rent a tent through the Village of Bolingbrook for $150.
All tents and displays must be properly secured.
Eligibility & Participation Criteria
Cultural exhibits, vendors, and performers should:
- Promote understanding of a people’s traditions, heritage, and way of life.
- Provide educational and cultural enrichment to festival visitors.
- Not promote nationalist political ideologies.
Acceptable display elements may include:
- Informational materials (printed or visual).
- Cultural artifacts or traditional items.
- Small presentations or demonstrations.
- Free cultural giveaways.
Merchandise & Presentation Standards
- Merchandise displays should clearly reflect and highlight the ethnic and cultural theme of the festival.
- Vendors are encouraged to create visually appealing, colorful, and engaging booth displays.
- Participants are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their booth space throughout the event.
- Exhibitors are responsible for the security of their merchandise and personal items.
