Keeping Bolingbrook Safe, Connected & Moving

The Village of Bolingbrook Public Works Department's Electrical Section is responsible for maintaining and repairing critical Village-owned electrical and traffic-control infrastructure throughout the community.
Electrical staff works year-round to maintain traffic signals, streetlights, illuminated street signs along major roadways, school zone flashing warning systems, underground electrical systems, and other Village-owned electrical equipment.
The Electrical Section also provides emergency response when vehicle accidents, storms, construction activity, or other incidents damage poles, signals, wiring, electrical cabinets, or other Village electrical infrastructure. Our goal is to keep these systems operating safely and reliably while responding quickly when problems occur.
