Forestry
About
The Village of Bolingbrook Forestry Section has seven dedicated members with two International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist, an ISA Certified Urban Forest Professional with a Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) to maintain an estimated 50,000 parkway trees through routine inspection, pruning, removal, and replanting operations. Each year, the Forestry section responds to over 800 service requests. The majority of these requests include pruning, tree health diagnoses, restorations, and other tree-related tasks.
The Village of Bolingbrook recognizes that trees beautify and lend value to neighborhoods, parks and business districts. At the same time, trees conserve energy, help clean the air, protect rivers and streams and provide a habitat for wildlife. The Bolingbrook Forestry Section maintains Village owned parkway trees in the community and encourages residents to consider planting and maintaining trees on private property.
The Village of Bolingbrook is proud to be named Tree City USA for 35 years and a recipient of the Tree City USA Growth Award for 33 years.
