Village of Bolingbrook Unveils New Permanent Pavilion
Bolingbrook, IL – The Village of Bolingbrook kicked off the summer season by unveiling the brand-new permanent pavilion behind Town Center (375 W Briarcliff Rd) on Wednesday, June 5th. Many elected officials, including Representative Natalie Manley were in attendance.
“This was a huge project, and it’s all thanks to Natalie Manley,” Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta said. “Because of the grant money that was secured, we were able to build this pavilion to be used by the whole community.”
The project broke ground in the fall of 2023 and was completed prior to the first Wednesday Night Summer Concert.
The Village of Bolingbrook is known for its many outdoor festivals throughout the summer. The Wednesday Night Summer Concerts offer free music each week, cultural festivals throughout the season celebrate the village’s diversity, and long-standing events such as the Village Picnic and the Jubilee bring the community together in a fun and engaging way.
“This is not just our, meaning the village’s, pavilion. This is yours!” Mayor Mary said when speaking to residents.
The pavilion will act as a gathering place for many individuals both during scheduled events as well as when nothing is scheduled to take place. The design and structure elevate the look and experience of the festival grounds, providing a beautiful ambiance to enjoy. The weather resistant area offers shade in the sun, and protection from light rain.
