Automated License Plate Readers (ALPR)
Our department uses Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) to enhance public safety and support efficient, accurate police work. ALPRs are camera systems that capture images of license plates which help officers identify stolen vehicles, locate missing persons, and support investigations involving serious crimes.
Our department maintains strict policies governing ALPR use. All systems and data access are logged and regularly audited. Officers receive training to ensure ALPR information is used responsibly and in accordance with policy.
