Prostitution Investigations

5 ILCS 812

Sec. 10. Law enforcement agency policy; prostitution investigations. Each law enforcement agency shall create a policy on or before July 1, 2025 that prohibits law enforcement officers from knowingly and willingly performing an act of sexual penetration with the suspect of a criminal investigation of prostitution during the course of an investigation conducted by that officer. The policy shall be posted and made publicly available.

Bolingbrook Police Department Policy 600.12: PROSTITUTION INVESTIGATIONS

Officers taking part in a prostitution investigation shall not engage in an act of sexual penetration with a known suspect during the investigation (5 ILCS 812/10).
