Speed Awareness Day Results
On Wednesday, the Bolingbrook Police Department participated in ILACP’s #SpeedAwarenessDay, joining agencies across Illinois to promote safer driving and reduce speed‑related crashes.
Throughout the day, our officers focused on targeted enforcement and community education to remind drivers that safe speeds save lives.
Here in Bolingbrook, officers issued 33 speeding citations to address dangerous driving behaviors that increase the risk of crashes, injuries, and fatalities. Enforcement is one of the most effective tools we have to deter unsafe habits and encourage motorists to follow posted speed limits and traffic laws. We aim to protect everyone who uses our roadways and reduce preventable tragedies.
