Walk / Bike to School Day

The Bolingbrook Police Department partnered with Bolingbrook’s elementary schools yesterday morning as part of the Valley View School District’s Walk/Ride to School Day. Our team met with local families to share in a morning walk through Bolingbrook’s neighborhoods.

This annual event is celebrated as a bonding moment with Bolingbrook’s youth as well as a teaching moment to help ensure year-round safe routes to school. This year’s event included students from Oak View, BJ Ward, Independence, Wood View, Jonas Salk and Jamie McGee elementary schools. Chief Mike Rompa commends his employees for their commitment to our community and thanks each of the families for allowing us to be a part of their day.
