Proclamations

Poppy Days – A proclamation was presented to representatives of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5917 and American Legion Post 1288 to acknowledge and publicize their upcoming fundraising activities for Poppy Days where proceeds will go to support local veterans of our Armed Services.

 

Public Works Appreciation Week – A proclamation was presented to Ken Enda of the Public Works department for the Village of Bolingbrook, expressing appreciation for the efforts of all the employees providing services to the Village.  The employees cover a wide path of services for the Village including snow plowing, street and sidewalk maintenance, forestry services, vehicle maintenance, property maintenance, and much more.    

 

Approval of Bills

Trustees voted to approve bills in the amount of $2,970,684.72. 

 

Motions

Note: The following motions provide materials for the annual Street and Sidewalk maintenance programs.

 

Approval of Motion to Accept Low Bid from Elmhurst Chicago Stone in the Amount of $43,800.00 for 2021/2022 MFT Materials Group No. 1 – Concrete & Aggregates (Gravel)

 

Trustees voted to accept the sole bid from Elmhurst Chicago Stone for the 2021/2022 Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) Materials Group No. 1 – Concrete and Aggregates (Gravel).  Four bid packets were sent out and one was returned.

 

The cost is 43,800.00 which is $3,200.00 under the budgeted amount of $47,000.00.

 

Approval of Motion to Accept Low Bid from Globe Construction in the Amount of $292,180.00 for the 2021/2022 MFT Sidewalk Program

 

Trustees voted to accept the low bid from Globe Construction for the 2021/2022 MFT Sidewalk Program.  Five bid packets were sent out and four were returned.

 

The cost is $292,180.00 which is $82,820.00 under the budgeted amount $375,000.00.

 

Approval of Motion to Accept Low Bid from Road Safe in the Amount of $206,700.00 for the 2021/2022 MFT Pavement Marking

 

Trustees voted to accept the low bid from Road Safe, for the 2021/2022 MFT Pavement Marking program.  Five bid packets were sent out and three were returned.

 

The low bid was $206,700.00 which is $31,700.00 over the budgeted amount of $175,000.00.

 

Approval of Motion to Accept Low Bid from Traffic Control Corporation in the Amount of $53,658.80 for the 2021/2022 MFT Materials Group No. 1 Street Light Poles

 

Trustees voted to accept the low bid from Traffic Control Corporation for the 2021/2022 MFT Materials Group No. 1 Street Light Poles.  One bid packet was sent out and one was returned. 

 

The cost is $53,658.80 which is $16,341.20 under the budgeted amount of $70,000.00.

 

Approval of Motion to Accept Low Bid from P.T. Ferro Construction in the amount of $4,291,138.76 for the 2021/2022 MFT HMA Street Resurfacing and Patching Program

 

Trustees voted to accept the low bid from P.T. Ferro Construction for the 2021/2022 MFT HMA Street Resurfacing and Patching Program.  Two bid packets were sent out and two were returned. 

 

The cost is $4,291,138.76 which is $91,138.76 over the budgeted amount of $4,200,000.00.

 

Approval of Motion to Accept Low Bid from Denler, Inc. in the amount of $241,450.00 for the 2021/2022 MFT HMA Crackfilling Pavement Program

 

Trustees voted to accept the low bid from Denler, Inc. for the 2021/2022 MFT HMA Crackfilling Pavement Program.  Seven bid packets were sent out and two were returned. 

 

The cost is $241,450.00 which is $58,550.00 under the budgeted amount of $300,000.00.

 

Ordinances

Acceptance of Plan Commission Report 21.09 and Approval of Ordinance (21-029) Approving a Special Use Permit for a Commercial Recreation Facility with Extended Hours of Operation, Anytime Fitness, 1128 W. Boughton Road, Tammy Torres, Trileaf Corporation; Applicant

 

Trustees voted to approve a Special Use Permit for a Commercial Recreation Facility with Extended Hours of Operation (Anytime Fitness) – 1128 W. Boughton Road

 

The applicant will operate a fitness facility, commonly known as Anytime Fitness, with hours of operation twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

 

The Plan Commission reviewed and recommended approval.

 

Oath Of Office

Associate Judge Ben Braun Swearing in of Newly Elected Mayor, Village Clerk and Trustees

 

The newly elected officials were administered their Oath of Office.

 

Motions

Motion to Acknowledge and Accept the Official Canvass and Proclamation of the Results for the Election Returns from Will and DuPage County Clerks for the April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election

 

Trustees voted to Acknowledge and Accept the Official Canvass and Proclamation of the Results for the Election Returns from Will and DuPage County Clerks for the April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election.  This is for a four year term.  The Village of Bolingbrook results were as follows:
