Raid, Entry, and Containment Team (REACT)
The Raid, Entry, And Containment Team (REACT) is an elite unit trained to provide specialized support in handling critical field operations where special tactical deployment methods beyond the capacity of field officers appear to be necessary. REACT officers are equipped with specialized weapons, gear, and tactics to resolve critical incidents safely and effectively.
Core Responsibilities
- High-Risk Warrant Service: Execute search and arrest warrants involving armed or dangerous suspects.
- Hostage Rescue: Respond to hostage situations and safely recover victims.
- Barricaded Subjects: Resolve incidents involving individuals who refuse to surrender and pose a threat.
- Active Shooter Response: Rapidly intervene in active shooter situations to neutralize threats and protect lives.
- VIP Protection: Provide security for dignitaries or high-profile individuals during special events.
- Tactical Support: Assist other units during critical incidents requiring advanced tactics and equipment.
Training & Standards
REACT officers undergo rigorous physical conditioning and training in firearms proficiency, tactical movement, and breaching techniques. Continuous education ensures readiness for evolving threats.
REACT is an additional assignment for officers regularly assigned to other units.
