Wastewater

Protecting Public Health Through Reliable Wastewater Services

Every day, the Village of Bolingbrook Public Works Department operates and maintains the systems that safely collect, treat, and manage wastewater generated by homes, businesses, and public facilities throughout the community.

The Wastewater Section is responsible for maintaining the Village’s sanitary sewer collection system, lift stations, and three Water Reclamation Facilities. These essential services operate continuously to protect public health, protect local waterways, and ensure wastewater is properly treated before being returned safely to the environment.

Much of this work happens behind the scenes, but it plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, healthy, and growing community.

This page provides residents with information about wastewater operations, Water Reclamation Facilities, sewer services, infrastructure improvements, environmental programs, and how to report wastewater concerns.
